When you call Doggie's Playmate, one of our pet handlers will set up a meet & greet. At that time, we will get to know your pet and discuss what type of services will best fit your schedule. The meet-and-greet visit will last around an hour. At this time, we will also do the following:

[back to top] In addition to our weekly activity reports, new clients
will be contacted every day for the first week so we can update you on
your pet’s first days with us. We do this to give you peace of mind
that things are going according to your needs and expectations. Doggies Playmate will need a set of keys to enter your home. We will not leave keys inside your home at the end of the sit. In case you can not make it back on time, we want to make sure your pets are taken care of until you get back safely. Doggie's Playmate will return your keys to you once you call us and set up a time to drop them off. We will not enter your residence unless we are scheduled
to do so. Of course, circumstances do happen. In an emergency, we
might have to enter your residence. We will contact you first.
If you can’t be reached, we will leave a message and leave an Unscheduled
Access Report to explain the circumstances and outcome of the visit. Dogs will be walked if it is raining, but they will not
be walked in storm conditions for the safety of your pet and the
Doggie's Playmate Pet handler. We will contact you in these
conditions to discuss how services will be carried out for that day.
Availability is limited and cancellations or schedule changes must be made in advance and are also subject to fees. We require a full 24 hours notice for all cancellations. Payments for
services not cancelled in time will be the client's responsibility. If payment is made by check and the check is returned, there will be a $20 fee and payment must be made in cash going forward. If payment is not made on time of the agreed payment period, a last fee of $20 will be incurred by the client. We require at least 24 hours notice for all
booking. If you need to make a last-minute booking, a $5 last-minute fee
will apply. Your pets must be up to date on their
vaccinations. We screen all pets will be screened for temperament, they must be fully house broken.Your pet must be able to adapt to new surroundings. We require that your pets be bathed within 48 hours prior to the beginning of their stay. During tick and flea season, please take appropriate actions prior to your pet's stay with us. We require 2 weeks notice if you no longer require our services. We all wish we had the perfect dog.. but this is the real world, and sometimes we come across dogs that need a little more attention. We can only accept dogs who can walk safely and securely on a leash. Dogs are always walked on leash, unldess they are in a secured dog-run area. Free Walks Weekly Activity
